14-Day Kenya -Tanzania Bush and Zanzibar Beach Experience

Lake Naivasha stands as Kenya's only freshwater lake within the Great Rift Valley, positioned at 1,884 meters above sea level and just 90 kilometers northwest of Nairobi. This geographical uniqueness makes it a fascinating anomaly – while most Rift Valley lakes are alkaline due to volcanic activity and mineral deposits, Naivasha maintains its freshwater status through underground outflow and natural sedimentation processes. Unlike the dramatic game drives that define Kenya's savanna parks, Lake Naivasha offers a completely different safari experience. Here, you can take boat safaris to observe hippos wallowing in the shallows and watch African Fish Eagles dive for their catch. The highlight for many visitors is Crescent Island, where you can walk freely among zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species without the barrier of a vehicle.

The lake supports over 400 bird species, making it one of East Africa's premier birdwatching destinations. Paper reeds fringe much of the shoreline, creating perfect nesting habitats and adding to the lake's distinctive character within Kenya's diverse ecosystem

The Masai Mara is the most popular safari destination in East Africa, along with the Serengeti in northern Tanzania.

It is the site of the great migration where over 2 million zebras, gazelles and wildebeest travel from Serengeti to the Masai Mara each year.
The Great Migration is the world's largest migration of wildlife.

The event takes place from July to October each year. Over 2 million mammals make their way from the Serengeti in northern Tanzania where the dry grasslands can no longer sustain them.

The Serengeti is one of the most famous destinations in Africa, this world heritage park is the stage for the dramatic wildebeest migration that takes place each year.

Tanzania’s oldest park, covering a whopping 1.5 million hectares, it is home to an incredible diversity of animals.

The park borders Kenya in the northwest, and is connected to the Ngorongoro conservation area.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is in northern Tanzania. It’s home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and “big 5” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals.

Tarangire, with many African Elephants per square kilometers than any other national park in the country, lies about 120Km southwest of Arusha City.

It is in this Park that visitors will be able to see threatened as well as endangered species of such as ebony trees, the Python, cheetah, elephants, African wild dogs, lesser and greater Kudu, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk and others

Birdlife in Tarangire is just Amazing ! About 550 species of birds have been recorded in the park, which is larger number of bird species than the famous Serengeti.

Zanzibar is an archipelago of over 50 islands and islets. Uniting with Tanzania in 1964, Zanzibar is now one of the best beach holiday destinations in East Africa, with beautiful white sands and clear blue waters stretching as far as the eye can see. As a primary trading post on the spice, silk and slave trade routes for over a millennium, Zanzibar has been a unique cultural crossroads, blending African, Indian, Arabian and European cultures.

This is most apparent in the Old Stone Town, one of the few remaining ancient towns in Africa. Stone Town is a labyrinth of chaotic alleyways, interposed between towering limestone houses, each with ornately carved hardwood doors with brass finishings and terracotta roofs. Alongside the architecture, Zanzibar is unique in its cuisine, religion, politics, and way of life. It's very different to mainland Tanzania, and makes for a perfect start or end to an East African safari
Zanzibar offers a number of outdoor activities and water sports, including cycling, kitesurfing, diving, or just general island hopping.
